“101
KM IN 24 HOURS” MULTISPORTS COMPETITION
It
is with pleasure that the City of Ronda will host the 8 Th Edition of " 101
kms in 24 Hours ".
The
awe inspiring beauty of Ronda, it’s magnetic charm and hypnotic appeal have
enticed many athletes to return year after year to compete in what has often
been described as " The Super Marathon" or the " Trail to Hell".
The
race has the full support of the Defence Ministry and the Local, Regional and
National Government combined with the superb facilities of the 4th
Spanish Legion Regiment .
Race
entries are limited to 1700 places for running-trekking athletes and 2800 places
for mountain-bikers and duathletes, so you are advised to send your application
before 23rd March(registration deadline).
Last
Edition 4111 athletes (1370 runners+2741 bikers) crossed the Start Line, only
2938 athletes (743 runners and 2195 bikers) the Finish Line.

INSCRIPTION : By official application form accompanied by a photocopy of your Identity Card or Passport and photocopy of a Certified Bank Cheque Payable to. Post tol to:

ENTRY
FEE: 36 EUROS. Postmarked by 31st January, 50 EUROS by 22nd March.
Free
cost sleeping in Sports Centre and Free Carbo Party are included.( Bring your
sleepbag¡¡¡¡).
Entry
fees are non-refundable and non-transferable after 22nd April.
AGE:
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older on the race day. Proof of age may be
demanded.
START
and FINISH LINE: Ronda’s Football Camp and Ronda’s Bull-fighting Ring.
TIME
LIMITS : 24 Hours or 12 Hours, depend on your Game .
Those
competitors who exceed the time limits will be disqualified from the race and
will not be allowed to continue.
DOPING:
Test according to Organisation Rules.
TOTAL
PRIZES: Total value of prizes (Money, Gifts and honours ) over 50.000 Euro.
Custom
trophies will be awarded to Female and Male top overall, top three in seven age
groups.
GIFTS:
Every athlete that finished the race within the time limits will receive the
official "101Km en 24 Horas" Sweatshirt , diploma, Medal plus sponsors
souvenirs.
Custom
designed 100% cotton T-shirts and celebratory mementoes to all entrans.
FOOD
AND WELFARE ON THE RACE DAY: During the competition the athletes will be
provided with sufficient food and drinks.
In
the finishing area , you will receive rich carbohydrates food.
Further
a massage treatment will be available. In addition, Spanish Red Cross, Medical
Care Unit and physicians will provide rescue services and medical care.
COURSE
FEATURES : Very demanding course, with only one loop of 101 km , on good
quality trail . We will go through seven little villages. The course contains
four challenging hills .It won’t be closed to traffic.
The
highest elevation is 800 meters above sea level. Aid stations are located every
5 km.
All
athletes and bikers will use the same course.
THE
COURSE IS A TRUE TEST OF MENTAL AND PHYSICAL TOUGHNESS.
